The Web Log DB exports web log data to databases via ODBC. Web Log DB uses ODBC to perform database inserts data using SQL queries. Web Log DB allows you to use the applications you have become accustomed to such as MS SQL, MS Excel, MS Access etc.
Features: The Web Log DB can collect web server logs and export them to ODBC compliant databases. Database inserts are done using SQL queries. This way you can continue to use the database you have become familiar with. For example it could be MS SQLServer, MS Excel or MS Access etc. ODBC compliant application can produce the desired reports/results you need as an additional advantage. Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) is a API for database access. ODBC sets up standard rules for communication to a database. ODBC drivers thus have the responsibility to convert the standard queries to specific ones suitable for the underlying database/ application. The application is able to analyze most popular log formats such as MS IIS logfile format, Apache logfile format etc. It can read GZip compressed formats too without the need to uncompress them. The interface is simple and you can specify a batch of files to be read. Related settings are done through the same interface which takes you through the settings step by step. The program works with command line interpreter too.
Overall: A good application for monitoring web servers and analyzing their health. Simple interface makes the task easy.
